Chas Cooper leads all marketing worldwide at Meltwater. Chas has over 15 years of experience bringing software and SaaS products to market. Today, Chas is laser focused on building a world class marketing organization at Meltwater based on modern digital marketing best practices.

Chas came to Silicon Valley in 1999 where he still lives with his wife, son and pet Basenji. On the move from birth, Chas grew up from coast to coast throughout the continental U.S. in states such as Maryland, New Jersey, Georgia, Missouri, and California.

When taking a break from marketing, Chas enjoys tinkering with artificially intelligent robots, rehabilitating them and reducing their cravings to destroy all humans.
Work
Prior to joining Meltwater, Chas led marketing and product management for several highly innovative Silicon Valley startups. Most recently, Chas was Vice President of Product Management at Xignite, a big data cloud services provider of financial market data. Previously, Chas founded Clear Crown, an interactive entertainment software company, where he guided the startup from inception to profitability. At Ipedo, Chas brought a cutting-edge XML database product to market successfully. At Evoke Software, Chas marketed and managed enterprise software products with seven-figure average deal sizes. And in the last millennium, Chas worked for Ernst & Young’s Management Consulting practice helping Fortune 100 companies with new product development and process improvement projects.
School
Chas holds a bachelor’s degree in Management of Information Systems from the University of Georgia’s Terry College of Business where he graduated magna cum laude.
